Hello, I am picking up an 06 Speedster 200 on Monday and I have already ordered (4) Kicker KM60 speakers from Crutchfield for $89.00. I am just wondering what kind of power does the stock receiver put out and should I be looking to upgrade this right away too?
At my advanced age, I'm not looking to blow the boat out of the water with wattage- just looking for decent clear sound. E-Bay has the Sony CDX F50M for $114.00 plus shipping, 52 X 4 watts. Does the stock radio have close to this power? It is a Clarion, right? TIA

I just got 10 hours on my 06 speedster which I picked up in March. The stock Clarion is the m255 and has 50w x 4. I really enjoy the radio. To me it sounds great. We can ride down the lake and listen to the radio. It is not the best radio but does the job for me. The only think I don't like about it is the inability to add wired remotes. I think I am going to sway it out for and m455, which has the same power and all, but will allow the wired remotes to be plugged in. I am wanting to add a remote by the driver and one by the swim platform. I am really enjoying my speedster. Good luck with your boat. You are going to love it.

Where do you live and where are you getting your speedster from. I am around Charlotte, NC, and got mine from Lake Norman Powersports.

Thanks for the info on the radio- I think I will wait on getting a different one, it sounds like the Clarion will have enough power for my needs.
I live in southeastern WI on a small 240 acre lake. I bought the Speedster from CedarCreek Motorsports in Cedarburg, WI. I had previously bought a 1997 Challenger 1800 from them new, which I traded in, and also have a 02 Sea Doo RX DI pwc that I bought from them.
I'm hoping that the Speedster will be a little better for watersking than the Challenger 1800 was- it should be with 800 more lbs and all the additional power.
My wife felt a little uncomfortable driving with me pulling the back end all around during a slalom run.
Have you had any problems with your speedometer? I have read that a lot of people have- mine always read high on my Challenger.

Haven't had any probs with the speedometer yet. I rode beside my friends Bryant. He said I was going about 30, which was confirmed by my speedometer. I have really enjoyed the boat. This is my own first boat, have a couple of Waverunners, and friends have regular sterndrive boats, but this is my boat. I hope I will have good luck with it. I have pulled a couple tubes with it so far, and it does really well. Now that I have it broken in, and the water is starting to warm up I will try and pull some skiers. Shouldn't be a problem either. The speedster is actually quite a large boat, and does have some weight to it so it shouldn't be pulled around at all. Good luck with yours.
