This is the web site that I found the information about the new Speedster 200 trim tabs by BRP. www.jetboating.net .Kit part #295 500 986 sold by BRP.A complete set of pictures can be found on the site listed under GREGZ.Perhaps we may have to wait for good boating weather and for the boating season to really start before we start getting reports of how well the trim tabs work. These tabs are manually adjustable only and can be adjusted up to 1/4 inch.I don't believe that BRP would put anything on the market if it did not work.If they work I want to put a set on my boat.If I find any performance data on these tabs I will let everyone know.Thanks,Gary.I have a set of Smart Tabs on my 200 and they work very good for choppy water. The automatic actuators are kinda different. I am thinking of getting hydraulic ones. They do decrease speed by 3-4 mph, but it is worth it, but I'm not sure if they are fully retracted at top speed either. They may not be.

IMHO, the lack of ability to adjust the trim (mostly pitch) on Sea-Doo's sportboats is a serious draw back. I've yet to see a Sea-Doo sportboat that didn't exhibit porpoising under certain sea conditions and/or speed. Coming from propped boats, not having trim at my disposal drives me nuts sometimes. And to make matters worse - the first time the boat started porpoising, the wife looks at me and says, "Is it suppose to do that?" To which I said, "Not if the sumbitches that designed this did their homework!!!"
The good news is that there are several choices of trim tab makers out there to help solve this issue. The bad news is that the cost is around $400+.
Anyhow, I think once a person realizes how much a set of trim tabs can add to the ride quality of a boat, they'd never go without. Oh, and IMHO, if you pop for a set, I'd go with those you can adjust while underway.
Thanks for letting me vent a bit.

I have not seen any more info on the trim tabs and did not want to purchase a set until I have some performance data from either the factory or some end users.I am thinking maybe Kevin LeClair might have an inside and be able to find some info for us.Gary.anybody???

I was wondering if anybody knows if the 25928 Lenco TrimTab System for Sea Doo would work with the speedster 200.Hello out there, has anyone seen the new Speedster Trim tabs that appear to have just hit the market from Bombardier? I saw some pictures on one of the other jet boat sites. They are supposed to control porpoising and maybe even increase speed. If they do what they claim, they might be a worthwhile investment.Thanks,Gary.
