Just wondering if it would be worth changing my OEM snap in carpeting to Hydro-Turf?

We have found that the carpet begins to smell and mildew over time, so Hydro-Turf definitely holds up better and does not have these same issues.

Makes sense. For now, I may just remove the OEM carpeting on my newer Challenger.
Hydro-Turf will likely be the next upgrade after adding a full length keel-guard.
Unfortunately, the lake I frequently use contains lots of old tree stumps and other underwater debris that is impossible to see.
Where can I find the best deals on Hydro-Turf?

I changed my carpet color and the backing is different, it holds up much better than the OEM. You should call the carpet mfg for more info.
You will have to replace the hydro-turf or carpet after 5+ years. Replacing carpet is much easier than hydro-turf.

I've done both the hydro turf and keel shield. Both worthwhile mods. You will have to fill some holes where your old carpet snaps were.
