Well we are getting into the 70's here in Atlanta, GA, boating season is just right around the corner. Can't wait!

No kiddin'...we have had the most snow in a long while these last few days, and I was starting to get pumped for boatin' season Oh well, I found an external intercooler on ebay, going to start ordering the plumbing, new impeller and fill in the ride plate holes before the season begins. If I can find a new SC impeller that will put me in the 9=10psi range and still run pump gas I think I'll do that too.

Getting very nice here. Took the Speedster out with my wife for the first time last Sun. Trying to get it broken in before boating season. I am definitely going to take it out this weekend. Charlotte weather says it is going to be about 80 Sat. and 83 Sun. Boating season is right around the corner.

that reads so funny its 80/83 yet the season is around the corner - you guys are so spoiled - we are lucky to get 80/83 for maybe 2 or 3 weeks a year - wow cheap gas and good weather - what more could a dooer ask for..........
very envious- its been about 30 here since december - last time i took the boat out it was so cold i thought my eyeballs were gonna freeze over with the windchill roll on summer

Had the good luck of getting my fingers pinched between the eyelet and a rope last Sunday, Ouch, will loose the nail!

OH I get it, a thumbnail picture of a fingernail ! BTW Here in central florida the last ski trip was Thanksgiving, next one ,this weekend

You guys are spoiled. Been in the 30's here for a couple weeks, still some snow on the ground. Drive by the river every day and look at the ice........damn.

Well I pulled the doo out of the garage yesterday to crank it up for the first time since last August. Took 3 turns and then fired right up. Let it run for about 5 minutes, shut it off, let it sit for about a minute and then gave it one more crank, fired up the first time then. Should be ready to go, I am getting excited for the warmer weather.

mine fired up first time last weekend - which was a relief after 3 months - if you stick it in forward and then giev the throttle three of fours pumps they fire up straight away - i guess the fuel eveporates from the carbs over a period of time.

its getting warmer in the uk too.

Hey thumper,kevin. I was doing a inspection after a outing . Noticed slivers of teflon at rear of pump. Local marine tech (seedoo cert) Say's most likely from running eng on trailer>Said that water dampens impeller vibes. It must have a load on it (WATER) Only a very brief start for batt ck is ok out of water. Had new ring installed only 30 hrs. 05 scic. Your opinions and any others on running out of the water is welcome.

I have heard mixed reviews on this too, if I doo it don't doo it for more than 5 minutes at a time max.

I have heard mixed reviews also. I have never run mine out of water, but think I will start letting it run for about 30sec. on trailer, then let it sit 30 sec. so I can check the oil. I don't think I would hurt anything in that short of time, do your guys?

Going to be colder here in Charlotte this week. Was rainy today and going to be in the 30's at night. Looks like next week going to be back around 70.

i only run mine out of water to flush engine and its only for a minute maximum and that always seems to long!

Looks like i learned the hard way. I min max at idle for me. Thanks for all the feedback , I doo care.
