i am in south florida and i am interested in a sport boat or pwc...
i am considdering the sppedster 200/ 430...or the rxp or rxt
i am concerned that i will get the crap beat out of me on a 200/430 here in the ocean, it seems like a lake boat, but i can't find anyone or any review looking at the boat in these water...
as for the pwc, do you reccomend the rxp or rxt... i will never have 3 people on board, i am really looking for what will be the real world difference between the 2...in terms of driveability, how it handles the waves/ chop/swell in the ocean
no one will let me test drive both in the ocean...
i am most concerned about getting beat up in the waves... i know trhe rxt will be a little smoother, but i don't know of anyone who has experience with both or all 3 for that matter...
any help/advice/experience you can provide would be great
thanks

We use our S200 in the ocean about half the time. It does OK in swells or 1-2" chop but beyond that it's not much fun. I live on the coast here and we have lot's of inland water protected by breakers or land, so there is plenty of boating to do without getting out too far from shore. A jet boat might not be the best choice if there is stuff in the water (weeds, debris). Swimming in the water to pull stuff out of the pump is not pleasant here (water is about 62F at the warmest part of the season).i need some real world advice

I have a 370 on a very large lake. I have to agree i'ts not much fun with a big chop. I thought because of the weight and deep V it would take the waves a little better than it dose. That said it's still a blast to drive I just need to leave my wife on shore to have any fun on the rough days.i need some real world advice

even though my 200 only has about 15hrs on it i have taken it through almost every water condition and the closest to the ocean has been lake ontario. let me tell you that i have had some pretty miserable days in the chop! i thought maybe i wasnt going fast enough to fly across the wake but you come down pretty hard when you hit some large waves. what made it worse was if you try to take a break and stop the waves start coming over board! you have to keep moving and i felt as if the thing was about to fly apart when the hull smacks into the waves. i love my speedster 200 and would not trade it for any other boat in any other class it is a well rounded boat. my advise is to test drive anything before you purchase it!!I have a 370 on a very large lake.
