Cannot find the nut for the forward bolt that holds the grate to the hull. I was going to take the grate off to make it easier to get a rope out, took out the 3 bolts from the rear of the grate, but when I went to take out the 1 forward bolt, it loosened a few turns but won't come out.
I got the rope out, but now that bolt won't tighten back up. Went to the parts diagram & it shows an elastic stop nut which is what the bolt acts like.
I think the nut is inside the boat under the engine. Can't see it with mirrors, can't feel it. Where is it??
