Hey everyone! Glad to be a part of this forum and owning a wicked seadoo jet boat!

 

I am just wondering as a new owner of this seadoo speedster 200 370HP SC what kind of things should I be checking on a regular basis to make sure my boat performs at 100% and stays performing that way? The boat currently has almost 140 hours on it.

 

I am not too mechanically inclined of a person but basic things I can definitely check out and fix hopefully myself.

 

One things I have noticed is the acceleration isn't snappy it sometimes takes a bit to get her going in the water.

Also,  when I am pushing both throttle levers forward the right engine revs right up to max until i pull back and try to level them out around 5-6000 rpm.

 

Are those 2 things I should have checked out or anyone know what possibly could be causing those issues? Something I can fix? or something I should take it in for.

With the amount of hours I would be getting the superchargers looked at and serviced, which could be one of the reasons why the get up and go has started waning.  The issue in relation to the revs through is something of an indicator that the wear rings and/or impellers may be damaged or worn and need replacing.

 

The wear rings and impellers are something that you can usually do yourself with plenty of help and guides on the 'net.  The superchargers through, can be done, but are something more mechanical and unless you are that way inclined, would be something you need to take it in for.  I think the washers in the 2005 series were metal, but it is something you should get checked, especially if the supercharges have been serviced before.  The earlier models had ceramic washers which, if they go, can cause some significant engine damage and lots of $$$$$.

 

Other than the usual servicing and the like, they are a fantastic boat and you should have a stack of fun with it,
