has anyone had the following issue and if so how id you resolve it?

Intermittenly the radio will just stop producing sound.  if you ae playing ipod the song/musixc will continue to play, you can tell this adn the numbers continue ti increment.  But no sound comes our of any of the speakers.  balance fader etc all set correctly.  turn radio off, wait, turn radio on and sound will come back at the default settings. (i.e. if you had the volume set at 22 when it does come back on it comes backon at the default setting or 12)

 

Yes it sound like a short of some kind to the speakers.  i have searched low and High with no success.

 

if anyone has experienced this please share if and how you solved it.  or any ideas you all might have on how to solve this.

We sure did! Loose connections on our OE Jensens which were pretty weak speakers to behin with. We just changed everything to JL Audio..... What a difference!

_{so the issue was on the speaker side?  or did you hav eto change the wiring all the way back to the harness coming out of the amp?}

I'm having the same issue - to now no power to radio.  Plus I can not find any information or how to gain access to the radio to just replace.  I even download the repair manual and no good description on how to remove panel to gain access to wires.

Hi guys, did you get your sound fixed? Same issue here. Radio seams all good. Can light-up as well as good on different mode. just no more sound out of all the speakers. Would just changing the speakers fixe the issues?
