Just installed thru the hull exhaust on 150 speedster
Just finished installing a thru the hull exhaust on an 09 Speedster 150. Great sound.
We put the exit up higher than Riva, etc. does with their kits, as i don't like the exit in the water when not moving. I had an 08 RXT-X sink when the clamp came loose at the rear exhaust exit while setting!
Also, did the X charger, stainless wear ring, Solas Concord R impeller, 4" Fizzle air intake that gets outside cold air from port side vent, catch can, replaced 23 lb. OEM battery with 2.5 lb. Earth X lithium one, etc.
Still only at 7,800 rpm and these mods increased top end almost 10 mph/GPS from stock OEM. I was only at 7,400 rpm before the mods at 5k altitude(Colorado).
Bigger improvement out of the hole and mid-range. Boat will literally jump over chop, etc. Didn't expect much improvement as there are folks out there, that should know better, telling Speedster owners that none of the improvements that work on PWC's have much effect on the boats, etc., just run stock, etc. That's total BS, as these improvements made more of a difference on this small boat than same on my past PWC.s, including 2008 RXT-X W/Stage 2+, 05 RXT Stage 3, 04 GTX highly mods, etc. Any time you can reduce weight/drag and/or increase HP, performance will improve. Before these toys we had a 40 ft. Fountain W/2-540 C.I. Teague engines & 30 ft. Scarab W/2-Big Blocks W/BM Blowers. Even truing up the hull on the Fountain made a difference.
These mods were well worth the dollars and highly recommend.
