I'm new to this sight I own a 2010 210 wake 310 hp
I'm wanting to add a 600 watt amp to power all 4 in board speakers and also powering the 4 tower speakers ( all upgraded )
Then I have a 700 rms that is powering a pro series sub
I have added 2 battery's
My question is I don't think the rectifiers will support the charging of the new batery bank in high demand. I think the output on the rectifier are 28 amps each
But info from dealers are like pulling teeth
Have you head of someone overcoming this problem
Or am I just over thinking this
My fear is that I will burn out the stator or rectifier
Charging amp concerns after audio upgrade

I have the 2009 150 Speedster 255 HP model. I have a 900 watt amp, 4 double sided 8" tubbies, and the Optima YellowTop battery. I carry a portable battery booster pack with me, just in case I need a boost. I check my voltage with a tester once in awhile, just to make sure I'm good. Low voltage, I either turn my stereo low or off to recharge the battery. Idling the boat to recharge the battery is not enough. You must travel over 5000 RPM to recharge the battery. Your instrument panel should give an audible sound that you have low voltage. These boats only have a maximum of 30 Amps of generator output. Too bad they didn't have the option for 60 Amps. I've been enjoying my tunes 5 seasons now, and no problems. At the end of the day, I recharge the battery completely at home.

That's promising news
The reason I am so concerned. Last season I used the 600 watt Sony to power 2 cheap tens and the factory wett sound 150 amp to power the infinity tower speakers and deck for the boat
And this year plans are to do the audio right
And as im all over the engine compartment running wires I notice the 3 wires coming from rectifier ( on both engines ) are burn at the pig tail on the boat side of the harness about 1/2 inch back ( insulation burned , dry ,and brittle ) with the wire that's exposed is diss colored . Now last year I did not have a extra batt at all. This year have a battery bank . Need to charge it while engines are running but think its to much for it under stress of much more batt load . I'm doing my own batty install research this week to try to find a combination to run audio 6 to 8 hours at full volum load ( 70 % ) . Then I can charge overnight and play all day . But it's a long shot
Any other thoughts?

Wow! I'm surprised to see that kind of damage. I really don't know what to tell you next. The only thing I can think of, is too avoid your electrical system of your boat completely. All your upgrades you have done would be powered directly to the battery(s). In other words, once the battery is drained, no more power to your tunes, until your battery is recharged. You would have to install 3 batteries. One battery for the boat. The other 2 for your stereo upgrades. Im curious what anybody else has to recommend for you. Sorry I couldn't help out more.

You are first to reply
Yes the new system has 2 100 amp hour interstate hell batts
Right now they are independent of the boat and can get 5 ish hours But would like to get 8 ish
I'm doing personal experiment research with diferant batt combinations this week
But would love to be able to charge somehow
Even if they made a external alt kit
But not that I have heard

This site may be an interest to you. Check this out. www.kinetikpower.com
Check out their products and photo gallery.
I would recommend that you avoid your boats charging system and go independent on these batteries. They vary in wattages and prices.

Yes best batt on the market
But who can afford that
Have a buddy with one and he is going to let me borrow it for a night
It will be part of my batt research this week
I will keep you posted on the out comes
