I want to buy/install keel guard on my Sportster this winter. Just put the boat away for the winter @ my inlaws and forgot to measure keel length.
Anyone know what length of keel guard works best with this hull type? Should I order the 4ft, 5ft, or 6ft. Standard white is the route to go for colour I'm guessing.
Oh ya, 2 questions about hydro turf:
1) How is it for keeping clean?
2) On a hot summer day how is it on bare feet? Does the turf get hot?
Regards,

I was looking for a keel gaurd for my boat as well. I have looked at two different brands but I can't remember which ones but both boxes had a chart for the boat length and gaurd needed.I want to buy/install keel guard on my Sportster this winter. I was also checking out the Keelshield.
I like the idea of running the guard from 6" above water line on bow to 1" before intake.
The keel Guard website suggests a 5' length for the Sportster whereas with Keelshield it would be more like 8'......just guessing......wish I had measured it before I left.
Can anyone recommend either product and a length?

big red - hydroturf is easily kept clean - ive had black diamond pattern on all areas and it protects the boat from ski edges aswell - none of it has pealed off and it looks as good as the day i put it down, doesnt get to hot underfoot - but then we only get about 100f max here in the uk - hydroturf for me was the single best improvement to the boat - worth every penny.
The boat that just passed you was a seadoooooooooooo.
