you definently will not have to upgrade the stereo. The 06 come with Clarions. Maybe more speakers but not the stereo. Ive an 04 speedster and it came with JBL already wired with three audio outputs. So what upgrades would you recommend for the boat? I'm wondering specifically about Hydroturf (is it necessary to do the whole boat or would just the rear deck be enough), the stereo (should I expect an upgrade here) and of course performance (any thing out of the box that needs upgraded?)?
Thanks of course! Long winter ahead....

I'm not even sure the stereo is new! Pretty much the exact same boat is 2005 which from what I've been reading is a good thing!Great choice! I have a question though... what other changes have SeaDoo made to the SCIC for the '06 model? From the reply above, it sounds like the stereo system is new. Anything else?

One-Touch Inlet Clearance System

- Stainless Steel Eyes Bow and Stern
- Driver/Passenger Console
- Glove Compartment
- Trailer, Custom-Matched (Galvanized Opt.)
- Full Instrumentation
- Non-Skid Decking
- 12 Volt Jack - Non-Slip Grab Handles
- Navigational Lights
- Horn (Flush Mount)
- Bimini Top (Opt.)
- Cockpit Carpet (Opt.)
- Auto Bilge Pump/Switch
- Operator's Guide
- Limited Warranty
- Retail Financing Available
Six Cleats (bout damn time, I added two on mine in the middle of the hull, otherwise no place for fenders!)
Horn - Also about damn time, I'll retro fit this one to my 05.
Inlet clearance system - Arghh.. piss me off. That I wanted... have to see how difficult it would be to retro-fit it (if too expensive, I'll just forget it).
Now just give us a Digital info gauge like any other Seadoo and I'll be happy! It drives me nuts to not be able to read the MPEM codes out on the water if something goes wrong (after many years of 4-Tecs, our group has almost all the codes memorized and know which ones are really bad and which are fake/easily fixed).
Anyone got any pics of the 06? The Seadoo website shows pics of the 05 still.

Um, impossible if the above comments are true....The 2006 is the exact same looking boat as the 2005!
1. There should be an extra cleat on the side, none are shown in the pics (six cleats remember).
2. The dashboard should be quite different, there must now be a "HORN" button and the Inlet Clearance System button. Take a look at an 05, no flat spaces left for buttons...hence, must be different.
3. Underneath, Inlet clearance system. No brainer, can't look the same as the 05 underneath.
Now where are some REAL pics of an 06 to verify what Seadoo has put on their site!

The horn button and the inlet button would not be a dramatic change and that what I think nwtrevrider was saying when he said they look the same. The horn should be on the dash but the inlet button could be un the right side of the driver along the fiberglass. Thats how it is on the Speedsters. As far as looks go, the inlet system is not a major change either, just three fingers. Most peopel don't see that when your in the water anyway.Um, impossible if the above comments are true....The 2006 is the exact same looking boat as the 2005!
