Summer is almost over and I would like suggestions on winterization procedures for my Mercury M2 210hp V6. I've winterized plenty of I/O boats in the past but I'm unsure what to do for the 2-Stroke engine with jet drive.
Thanks

Winterizing a 240EFI
All I do for winterizing on mine is this simple 10 step process:
1. Add Stabil to the fuel.
2. Disconnect fuel line & pull fuel pump fuse.
3. Run until out of gas.
4. Pull plugs & squirt 2cycle oil in each cyl, & put plugs back in.
5. With yanyard DISCONNECTED, turn engine over for 1-2 sec.
6. Reconnect fuel line & put fuse back in.
7. Pull battery and store inside.
8. Change gear lube (both intake grate & stator).
9. Pull battery & store it inside.
10. Put moth balls in each of the drink holders, cover & seal.
Optional step 11. Pints of Bass @ nearest quality drinking establishment... In this case, Blue Bricks in Mankato, MN.

I am not sure about step 3 though ("Run until out of gas."), I leave my tank full of gas with stabilizer added to prevent condensation from getting in the tank.

Refer back to step 2 where you disconnect stuff. Step 3 runs the fuel out of the lines (runs til there isn't sufficient pressure to run any longer). This is straight from JetBoating.net and might be of some help:
