I just wanted to let you know that I've contacted a friend of mine, who's husband builds boats for a living, to ask him about trimming out the S200. He's contacted a dealer who makes something called a jet-a-vator or place diverter for the pump that will fit. We're checking pricing now and if the price is right, we'll be ordering and placing it on ours. I'll let you know how it goes.Has any had any luck installing trim tabs on there speedster 200... There are some guys called Place Diverter, but the tabs they make are for the mercury pump, this is the one I have. I do know that there are some bennet trim tabs or Lenco trim tabs that are fitted to the rotax jet. Regardless, once you instal the tabs you will feel as if you have a new boat, the diference is incredible!!!I just wanted to let you know that I've contacted a friend of mine, who's husband builds boats for a living, to ask him about trimming out the S200. Rickster, I just read a post in the General Lounge from "Dooer" about instaliing trim tabs on his speedster due to a "whining" he heard in the boat. Coincidentally, we've got the same noise on ours! Only I think it's coming from (gasp) ME! Yup, I'm the wifey who's screaming "slooooow doooowwwn" all the while being bounced to and fro.Regardless, once you instal the tabs you will feel as if you have a new boat, the diference is incredible!!!
So I was wondering if the difference was really worth the cost to install the trim tabs? And would it stop the strange noise that seems to be coming from somewhere in the back?

Unfortunately, as I think Rickster said, the place diverter is for the Mercury pump, which the 04' and 05' Speedster 200 do not have. And it seems the general consensus is that we can't fit trim tabs on our boats because of the design of the hull and transom. There's just not any dang room to mount them! Another member here (Dooer) installed some on his, but he ended up having to notch out a lot and took out 4 of his HIN numbers. I think I'm going to contact Seadoo personally and see what they say. I don't care if I look like an idiot, I'm a girl so I can just disguise myself as the dumb blonde and get away with it . I love this boat, but the ride is just not comfortable. I'll let you know what they say.

Try these guys:Well that was a complete waste of time! I called and she told me to contact my dealer. Well, he's an idiot to say the least. Probably not his fault because he doesn't know much about jet boats, as this was the dealerships first boat sell. They only sell jet skis and are trying to start selling jet boats. We're the guniea pigs, yay! So, I think I'll just try and contact a different dealer? Wish me luck.

Thank you for contacting us with your question.
The 2005 Speedster 200 does have a very unique hull design, which will not allow you to install trim tabs in the standard fashion. Also, the twin jet drives causes mounting limitations, since when you drop the reverse buckets this redirects the thrust out to the sides which would dump the thrust directly on top of the trim tabs. From we have seen so far; the only choice that we can determine is to install trim devises that fit under the jet drives, which will keep the reverse thrust off of them and still have trim control. As it stands, we are looking into this option and will determine the feasible of the system shortly. We will keep your name/email on file and notify you of our findings as soon as we can.
If you have anymore questions, please feel free to contact us.
Sincerely,
M.J. Thomas

Bad news. I contacted a Seadoo dealer and the guy was really stumped when I asked him how to trim the Speedster. I think he wanted to laugh at me! I guess I'm the first person to have asked that question. Anywho, he consulted a few other service guys and they all agreed that there was no way to trim the Speedster 200. They suggested to put a lot of weight up front. We're taking her out this weekend with us and 2 other couples, no kiddos, so we'll have the heavy weights ride up front and see if that makes a difference. Wish us luck.Well that was a complete waste of time! I called and she told me to contact my dealer. Well, he's an idiot to say the least.
