I am close to buying a Speedster 200 SC, having had a '97 Speedster in the past with the twin 110's. I was also looking at the Yamaha 320 HO boats too.
Both the Sea Doo and the Yamaha have big engines (370 vs 320), with the Yamaha being longer (23 vs 20) and deeper draft (18 vs 12).
Can anyone comment on the 'in use' differences of these boats? Will Sea Doo come out with twin 420's next year? Has reliability been good with the 4 strokes. Comments on handling and top speed also appreciated.

Your best bet is to test both boats...tell the Dealer that's what you want to Doo and maybe they will butter up a deal. The Yamaha may not have as much power, but the boat itself is a better layout in my opinion...... Seadoo will need to come out with something comparable next year to keep me on their list of happy owners!I am close to buying a Speedster 200 SC, having had a '97 Speedster in the past with the twin 110's. The Yamaha will be more stable in choppy water just because it is a longer and heavier boat (slightly) but the Speedster will be more maneuverable and look sportier. The difference in HP, in my opinion, is more of a bragging right than actual/usable HP. The top speed is probably the same or close, depending on your load. But if you have clearance/storage issue, the Speedster may fit your need better.
I saw both boats at a show earlier this year and the Yamaha's interior layout looks much bigger and roomier. The Speedster has more storage throughout the boat.
