Hi!
I was glad to find this link. I currently have a '99 Speedster and previously owned a '95 Speedster. The seats and armrests, etc. on my boat are extremely faded and sun damaged. Has any one ever looked into replacing the vinyl?
Thanks in advance!

I have done my '97 and it wasn't too bad. I bought bulk vinyl instead of the OEM replacement covers. Post some pics of your '99 seats so I can get a look at them.

Wow! Nice job on the vinyl. Looks like a good winter project for me. I e-mailed World Of Power Sports just to see what their prices are. I'm in the same situation that you were in. It also seems like the yellow wears worse than the other colors they have used? ... gotta get back to work. Talk to you later.

Thanks...... I would not undertake the job til the end of the season, or pre-season like I did.
The silver fabric on the arm rests and bewteen cushions is in excellent shape on my Doo, but the yellow was trash. Don't know why unless it is a different quality material.
You are going to find that the OEM covers are NOT cheap, even the little ones. Of course my new covers don't have any logo on them, but I'm cool with that. All I use to maintain the seats now is some 3M Vinyl Cleaner and Protector, sold at Wally World....

Where did you find the OEM vinyl seat covers? I called World of Power Sports, but they can not get them.
Thanks in advance!

I think you missed it: I bought the fabric, took the old stuff off and made patterns, cut them out, sewed them up and reinstalled them. There is nothing OEM about them except the frame and cushion.

I was actually looking at an older post of yours before you decided to do the custom vinyl ...
"Any older DOO'ers reupholster their seats yet? Thinking about it? I'm about to DOO it to mine. The vinyl on the seat bottoms is beginning to rot, partly due to the previous owner failing to care for the interior. The seat backs are faded and stained on the top as well. I've got marine grade vinyl (bright yellow) on the way to my door, and am ready to get started. Go on the World of Powersports website and price the seat covers for any of the Seadoo boats. Pricey, aint they?!?!"
You had mentioned World of Powersports. I gave them a call but they can not get the covers. I guess I was just wondering if any one knew where I could get the OEM covers. Your custom job looks nice, but I think it would be more work than I want to take on.

I have a 98 speedster and all my seats are faded and cracked. The seat have lost some of there size as far as the sides fitting against the sides of the boat or drive/pass seats. I could probably get someone to cut some foam for the seats but how would I cover them. The seats in the 98-99 seat look like they are heat molded to the foam??

Post a pic j..... they most likely are. All the foam is cut to specific contours on all the seats. The hard part was getting the vinyl to conform without wrinkles- and heat helped.
