Fuel pumps - are both supposed to run?

There are two pink wires running between the area of port coolant tank and the ski pylon that end in a plug that is NOT plugged into anything.
Coincidentally, there are two pink wires coming from the port fuel pump (mounted on top of the fuel tank next to the starboard fuel pump) and it is not plugged into anything either. Can anyone tell me if both fuel pumps are powered and running during normal operation or is only one fuel pump used for both engines?
Thanks a million.

I have a 2008 Challenger 230SE (twin 215 HP engines) that I'm putting in the water for the first time tomorrow. The dealer is closed so I can't ask them this question. Both engines start and appear to run with no issues.

I believe what you are seeing is the extra plug for the second fuel level sender. From what I have read they have two, but only use one for the gauge. If both engines start and run fine, I think you are good to go.
