Well, my Glasstron 5.0L 19' bowrider is getting a little tired so I just purchased a 2002 Islandia and have yet to get it out on the water. Does anyone know of particular things that should be looked at closely before I head out to the river and leave it in storage out there?
Thanks in advance,
Tim
Any Islandia Owners out there?

If you have parts sources please share them. I have a 2003 and love it. Put the hydro turf in it this year and the Cobra Jet Steering too. Living in the northwest (where we did not have a summer this year) I only got out once for a couple of hours but the changes seem to be very worthwhile.
Problems I have had with the boat were the freshwater pump froze and broke. (For $600 winterize charge my dealer did not drain the tank. Wonder why I will never return to Gonnesson's in Kent, WA.) They also installed a second battery with a switch (Did not charge one of the batteries, misswired... Thanks Gonnesson's)
Don't buy the waterpump from a dealer or you will be seriously hosed. I removed mine and with a little research on the internet found the manufacturer, also found out that just about every boating supply store has the replacement at 1/3 what the dealer wants.
I also need a source for the courtesy lights. They want between $7 and $15 for the freaking little bulbs.
Only other thing I had was a broken clip on one of the hydralic rods that hold up the engine cover. The clips, rods and everything else are available from the manufacturer and cheap; like $5 for a bag of 10 of the clips.
Enjoy the boat. Once you get the little bugs worked out they are a blast.

Try World of Powersports for parts and see if they work out any better for you, I have used them quite a few times and they are usually more reasonable. http://worldofpowersports.com
Need a shop or part manual for your boat or PWC? Join the SDSB Club here, http://seadoosportboats.com/join and download them here, http://seadoosportboats.com/manuals
Want to spread the word about SeaDooSportBoats.com and sport some official SDSB Gear? See what we have to offer here, http://seadoosportboats.com/gear
